For Agents and Brokers

Agent of Record Policy

One clear set of rules for every producer. This policy puts in writing how SafeLease handles Agent of Record letters and competing submissions, so you always know where you stand.

How to Submit

Send AOR letters, countermands, and new business designations to: aorrequests@safelease.com

What to include:
  • A signed letter on the insured's letterhead, or a signed ACORD 36
  • The policy number(s) the change applies to
  • The signer's printed name and title
  • Signer must be an owner, officer, partner, or managing member of the insured
What happens next:
  • 1The current agent of record is notified within 1 business day
  • 2A 10-business-day countermand period follows; the current agent can acknowledge the change by reply and waive the remainder, finalizing it sooner
  • 3The new agent of record receives confirmation when the change is final
